The housekeeping supervisor is also be expected to enforce standards of cleanliness and room readiness. They participate in room cleaning, as well as inspect and review the work performed by housekeepers and laundry workers under their supervision.
To be a housekeeping supervisor, experience is generally weighed more heavily by employers than formal education. Most institutions look to fill this position from within, or they hire outside individuals with extensive institutional housekeeping experience. Persons in this job normally work early in the morning, with the work shift finished by the late afternoon.
