Medical technologists work on the side of the hospital that isn’t commonly seen by patients. They run tests, processes samples, and provide information about patients' conditions to doctors. The typical day for a medical technologist includes receiving samples that have been collected from doctors and examining them under a microscope or other device. After the examination, the technologist makes a diagnosis based on the sample. The diagnosis is sent back to the requesting physician, and it is then used to determine what is wrong with a certain patient.
