The senior brand manager works a great deal with analytics, using market research and demographic data to establish and evolve brand identities. The brand manager works to help forecast trends in the consumer market and position products so they fit in with expected consumer behavior.
The brand manager typically has a two-way interaction with the marketing department at a company. The senior brand manager provides them with vision and targets for the consumer market the company wishes to attract. Then the marketing team devises campaigns and promotional initiatives to hit these targets, submitting them to the brand manager for approval. This same relationship also applies to advertising departments developing sales campaigns and similar products.
A senior brand manager typically works in an office environment during regular business hours. They have supervisory and budget oversight for all departments involving the promotion of products, usually delegating and approving the final decisions of middle managers in these areas.
