The day-to-day responsibilities of supply chain coordinators vary depending on their organization and industry, but they typically involve some material scheduling, planning, negotiating, purchasing, and expediting. Additionally, the supply chain coordinator manages the schedules of the supply chain employees on a daily or weekly basis. This position is generally full time and takes place in an office setting. Some travel to supplier locations may be required. These coordinators usually report to the operations manager, supply chain manager or departmental director.
Supply chain coordinator jobs generally require a bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years' experience in the related field.
