Job Description for Disability Care Worker

Caring and responsible individuals are needed to work with people with special needs/disabilities (physical, mental, and/or developmental). As a disability care worker in our facility, your duties would include: assisting residents with transportation to and from medical appointments; administering prescription medication(s); ensuring basic hygiene practices (i.e. baths, showers, brushing teeth, cleaning/grooming habits, getting residents dressed); engaging residents in recreational and skill-building activities (grocery shopping, field trips, clothing shopping, and exercise sessions); and house-cleaning and maintenance (cooking, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, bed-making, laundry, emptying bed pans).
