Master plumbers are highly experienced and skilled plumbers; in some states, this position requires licensing to provide proof of their experience. They are often the first plumber to arrive at a job site to inspect the customer's problems and develop a plan with the customer. They then inform their crew of the situation and delegate tasks to them. A master plumber often reserves the most difficult tasks either for themselves or as an opportunity to teach apprentice plumbers. It is the master plumber's job to ensure that all work is carried out quickly and efficiently and to ensure a quick remedy to a customer's situation.
