Job Description for Medical Officer

On a day-to-day basis, tasks performed by the medical officer include serving as an adviser for different projects run by their employer, providing medical support, spotting inconsistencies and finding the cause of problems, and making recommendations on health issues and disease control. They may conduct medical case reviews, medical reviews of protocols, and medical reviews of clinical study reports. Medical officers often work in the section of hospitals in which clinical trials are conducted; these professionals are typically in charge of these clinical programs and oversee areas such as ensuring the safety of participants and recruiting individuals to participate in trials.
