The job of a metal roofer is physically demanding. They must be partial to outdoor work and willing to work in less than ideal weather. Roofing requires a lot of strength. The roofer will not only be working at considerable heights, he or she will also have to bring work material up onto the roof where they are working. Usually, this will require the use of machines to assist carrying the workload, as these supplies are often very heavy. Once the roofer has the supplies up on the roof, the roofer will need to navigate the materials to the correct position. It is not uncommon for the slopes to be steep, so a strong sense of balance is important for safety.
