Job Description for Naval Architect
One of the naval architect's main responsibilities is actively ensuring the design and analysis of all types of flotation systems are maintained. This may include being able to ensure that all naval architecture, ship structure, and ship design are as cost-effective as possible. A naval architect is also responsible for providing maintenance and training support for all water-bound vehicles. They must also be able to analyze any issues that may arise and develop a plan to fix them, as well as adjust those plans as necessary. Naval architects work with companies that deal with boats and other ocean travel, such as cruise ship companies and marine companies. The minimum educational requirement includes a bachelor's degree in naval architecture or a related field. Additionally, having a minimum of two years in the naval field is also necessary.
