Senior environmental consultants are responsible for all aspects of site-specific compliance with environmental laws, rules, and regulations from state and federal agencies. These consultants provide assistance to subcontractors and other outside clients and are responsible for maintaining and developing their organization’s relationships with these clients to ensure future consulting work. They provide oversight on projects for clients, ensuring that all activities meet the specific compliance requirements dictated by law; they also examine construction proposals submitted by clients for regulatory issues and make recommendations regarding changes prior to the start of construction. Senior environmental consultants also establish an environmental compliance budget and schedule for their client’s project.
