Job Description for Aerospace Stress Engineer

Aerospace stress engineers usually have at least a bachelor's degree in aerospace or a related engineering field and are well-versed in physics, mathematics, and chemistry, as most of their college courses are centered around these studies to design safe, ecologically-friendly aircraft. Low fuel costs and a lightweight structure are usually key features to consider, and they must also try to predict any possible failures during a flight and make necessary changes to structure and design to prevent these possibilities. Aerospace stress engineers must be reliable and focused due to the weight of responsibility in this position, as flight has by no means been mastered and the simplest lapse in judgment could mean the loss of many lives.
