Assistant Store Manager Reviews
What is it like working as an Assistant Store Manager?
February 2020
Work is great, compensation is not.
Assistant Store Manager in Chicago:
Pros: I help people see the world everyday, through Rx and non. Our product has been tested and backed by science since it’s beginning in 1975.
Cons: For the amount of work I put in I do not think I am paid fairly.
February 2020
Overbearing, micro-managing middle management, with all feedback to all employees being negative.
Assistant Store Manager in Vancouver:
Pros: My immediate co-workers, and customers
Cons: Outrageous expectations, little reward. Lots of negative feedback. Zero positive feedback. Major accomplishments are not recognized.
February 2020
I run the business and manage employees and run the optical program.
Assistant Store Manager in Nashua:
Pros: My say to day freedom and calm environment where my skills flourish
Cons: My pay and lack of communication with upper management
February 2020
Yikes.
Assistant Store Manager in Sherwood Park:
Pros: Staff is friendly
Cons: When you havent accrued sick days, they deduct from your salary even though they dont blink an eye when you work 50+ hours a week because theyre stingy with hours.
January 2020
My pay and value isn't appreciated and or shown with pay as I am the lowest paid ASMs.
Assistant Store Manager in North Bergen:
Pros: Small team with positive growing mindsets to develop further potentials.
Cons: I am way underpaid, did not get a yearly raise like everyone else in the company did, I am one of the hardest and most well rounded assistant managers in my region. I'm currently training my store manager how to properly manage the store.
January 2020
Assistant Store Manager in San Diego:
Pay scale is well below other retailers. And you'll be expected to cover jobs daily for other employees who constantly call out but don't get terminated. Upper management consistently changes, and a few get fired after investigations. Medical insurance plan sucks, doesn't even cover asthma inhalers. Management moves stores at least yearly, and consistently farther away from your home with no compensation for increased drive.
January 2020
I have built great confidence with my skills through my work.
Assistant Store Manager in Prairie Grove:
Pros: Managing:people, paperwork, sales, guests, maintenance, cleaning, inventory, and money.
Cons: Not all the equipment functions properly which can sloe down the proccess.
