Job Description for Cement Mason or Concrete Finisher
Cement mason and concrete finishers are responsible for smoothing, leveling and finishing freshly poured cement. Typical job sites include roadways, driveways, sidewalks, bridges, homes, buildings and other construction sites. Cement masons check forms that will eventually hold the concrete built by other workers and ensure that they're properly constructed or they set the forms themselves. They build the form to meet or ensure that it was built to meet the desired pitch and depth and align them. They direct the cement truck driver and move the cement chute as it's pouring concrete into the forms, and then they then may add sand as a filler to the wet cement.Read More...
