Q: What is it like working as a Digital Designer?

June 2019
"It's comfortable, but not progressive."
Digital Designer in Johannesburg:
Pros: I love the energy of the people and the free-flowing culture in the office.
Cons: I feel like the company is still juvenile in its way of working. The time restraints are unrealistic thus the company takes shortcuts to produce work on time. Creativity is not really promoted and creative roles are expected to work very fast under pressure. It is not an ideal work place for an illustrator.
September 2019
"Pretty good TBH."
Digital Designer in Sydney:
Pros: Laid back, enjoyable lifestyle with things to do (if you're willing to travel in order to do them)
Cons: Commute on our public transport is the bane of human existence
October 2019
Digital Designer in London:
Pros: The atmosphere/ vibrancy of the city
Cons: The sheer expense of the place and the wages which don't cater for this
November 2019
"Good but it's not great."
Digital Designer in Chicago:
Pros: It's a good place to work with some awesome people but the way we work and our process makes it hard to work sometimes.
Cons: I am the only digital designer with no one else to rely on.

February 2020
"Chasing the tide."
