A document control supervisor are responsible for developing and implementing document control systems within their organization; they must be able to track documentation throughout the product's entire life cycle. These supervisors are also in charge of supervising subordinate employees, which includes providing instruction, training, and discipline to these employees as needed. They also conduct performance appraisals of other employees and make recommendations for raises and possible promotions. Additionally, document control supervisors audit documents to ensure that they are consistent will company rules and regulations. These supervisors generally work full time in an office setting during regular business hours, although overtime may be required depending on the needs of the business and specific projects.
