Office conditions.
Office Administrator:
Pros: I am not constantly being watched over. I am able to do my job without being bothered a lot. Am able to take holidays usually when I ask.
Cons: The pay. That I feel like I am being made to feel less worthy of a pay rise than I think I am. Don't see any opportunity for growth.
March 2016
Good.
Office Administrator:
Pros: Responsibilities - flexibility - dependable - appreciated.
Cons: I'm the youngest - weird atmosphere - negativity - not enough compensation.
March 2016
Learning.
Office Administrator:
I would take the initiative to learn processes on your own and not be afraid to ask questions. Always try before asking, though. I also advise that if you don't know the answer to a question, it's ok, just make and note and politely offer to get back to the query asap. Professionalism is key, perfection is secondary. I learn very quickly on my feet and that has served me well in this business atmosphere.
March 2016
Stress Levels.
Office Administrator:
Can be very stressful and demanding on a daily basis. No promotions or pay review after one year of employment. If you do any overtime you don't get paid for it and they ask you to work weekends.
February 2016
Stress levels.
Office Administrator:
Pros: Independence. Learning new skills. Great hours and schedule. Lower stress than my previous job.
Cons: Can be repetitive. Not used to sitting for long periods of time.
