Mechanical Engineer Reviews

Q: What is it like working as a Mechanical Engineer?

Mechanical Engineer in Sligo:
"Working in Sligo."
Pros: I love how compact Sligo town is, everything is near by and there is a lot of industry in the area. It is n close proximity to many beaches to suit all tastes be it water sports, swimming or just walking. It is surrounded by mountains and lakes all a 10 to 15 minute drive from the town ideal for hiking or leisurely walks, kayaking, fishing and swimming. All this adds to making Sligo a tranquil place to work.
Cons: The town was hit hard by the recession and a number of retail outlets still haven't recovered. It is clear however that there is recovery with a number of new restaurants and shops opened in town in the last year.

Mechanical Engineer in Dublin:
"HVAC Engineering."
Pros: Life in Dublin: Dublin, Ireland’s capital city, lies on Dublin Bay and overlooks. The Irish sea that divides Ireland and Great Britain. The city ranks among the top tourist destinations in Europe. And in the last decade there has been an economic boom, Which has seen areas of Dublin change dramatically. Many. Historical areas have been rejuvenated and restored, and new. Shopping centres have arrived along with restaurants, clubs. And bars, making this a very exciting place to stay. Much of central Dublin is filled with beautiful period buildings. With elegant Georgian architecture. Luas tramline is a new. Addition to the city, and now means that cheaper hotels within. The city’s suburbs are far easier to reach.
Cons: CON: Ghost estates, cheap rent far from transport. During the final years of the ‘Celtic Tiger’, new residential and commercial property began developing all over the country. As the recession came on, the cranes that once littered the skyline were coming down just as quickly as they went up. Now all these townhouses and properties are available, but no one can afford to buy them. Some of these properties have taken on the term 'ghost estates'. So if a price on a house seems a little too good to be true, there might be a reason, so it's important to do research on the area beforehand. If renting accommodation, expats should take a good look at the proximity of public transport as cheaper rentals tend to be far from public transport.
