Job Description for Night Auditor

Night auditors work at the front desk of hotels during the night (or third) shift, so they usually work between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Night auditors generally balance accounting books, complete and transmit daily management accounting reports and supporting documents, and transmit and settle credit card batches. While it is common for night auditors to handle account matters for the hotel, it is not uncommon for them to also handle functions of the front desk staff. They can be found acting as a guest service representative doing room reservations, stocking linens and supplies, delivering notices to guests, answering phone calls, and providing guests with towels, blankets, pillows and other items as needed.
