Senior IT project managers work in environments with many other employees, ensuring that all aspects of a company's technological functions are running smoothly. These include IT projects, client relations, and customer service. Senior project managers supervise junior project managers, and other such staff members. They must be able to set goals for their team, and to assign work to the employees most suited for specific positions. Further, if conflict arises, they must be able to resolve these situations. In terms of specific IT duties, senior project managers must manage server functioning and implementation, operating service upgrades and databases.
