Medical copy editors should have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, as well as the Adobe creative suite of products. Those in this position usually work in an office environment at a desk and computer, and their main responsibility is to edit and proofread documents while following given guidelines. Because of the nature of the work, they must have strong knowledge of the terminology used and the target audience of the content they edit. They must follow all guidelines set forth by the company and make sure processed documents meet or exceed quality standards.
