SQL developers are in change of implementing and controlling security procedures to protect data from damage, loss, or theft. They need to be able to troubleshoot problems and come up with solutions. Most SQL developers work during regular business hours; however, if a problem does arise, they may be required to work nights, weekends, or holidays.
SQL developers need a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field. Many companies prefer some information technology (IT). SQL developers need to be Microsoft certified and understand operational practices. It is important for a SQL developer to be a good communicator, able to lead a team, and able to write reports for meetings.
