Job Description for Assistant Executive Housekeeper
An assistant executive housekeeper generally works at hotels and resorts, performing general housekeeping duties according to company processes and guidelines. The housekeeper must ensure that customers are satisfied by providing the best possible service, which may include engaging directly with customers and/or providing surveys. This job is generally performed during the day to ensure rooms are ready for the next night's guests. Besides making sure rooms are neat, the assistant executive housekeeper must ensure the rest of their establishment is clean and appealing to guests; some related duties they may perform include scrubbing bathrooms and walls, vacuuming floors, and cleaning windows. Attention to detail and an emphasis on hygienic practices are important for this job. This may be a leadership position, so directing a housekeeping team, checking that team's work, and providing any needed guidance and discipline may be required of the assistant executive housekeeper.
A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required for this position, as well as relevant experience. Generally, assistant executive housekeepers must have proficiency with basic computer programs, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work well in a team setting and on their own.
