Casino shift managers are responsible for overseeing a casino's general operations and work schedules during their shifts; this position is supervisory in nature and often referred to as the "assistant manager." and it is supervisory in nature. Casino shift managers work within the casino, either in an office or on the floor to circulate among tables and observe customers and employees. Hours and shifts for this position vary greatly, as many casinos are open twenty-four hours.
