A digital designer's duties vary heavily depending on their company's field. Digital designer work with computers and typically need a bachelor's degree in a graphic design, interactive design, or a related field; some positions will also accept degrees in such fields as advertising and marketing. While certifications are not always necessary, most employers want demonstrated proficiency with the digital design software packages used in their company. These generally include Photoshop, llustrator, and other Adobe products. Proficiency with input devices such as graphics tablets is also usually desired, as is ability to work directly with code.
A digital designer generally works standard business hours, though some firms allow for flexible hours. Some overtime may be required as deadlines approach.
