Job Description for Energy Analyst

Energy analysts develop and maintain a high-level understanding of energy markets, providing information and analysis to their company and/or clients. These professionals perform data modeling and stay up-to-date on relevant issues and trends within the energy sector. They must present forecasting reports, data, and information on trends in a format that is useful and easily understood to their clients. Additionally, these analysts use the information they have gathered and knowledge of the industry to make recommendations to clients as needed. This is generally a full-time position that takes place in an office setting, although overtime and work outside of regular business hours may be required based on the needs of their business.
