Job Description for Finance Intern

Finance interns are generally university students looking to gain real-world experience through a time-limited internship in finance. Their internship may take place at a wide variety of companies, ranging from accounting agencies to investment advisers to banks; other large corporations that handle finances internally may also have finance interns. As with any internship program, finance interns generally come to the company with little direct experience in the field. Their role generally starts with smaller tasks as they assist qualified employees and learn about the protocols and methods used at the company. In addition, many positions will also require interns to participate in company orientations, training sessions, and seminars.
