Job Description for Senior Information Technology (IT) Auditor

Senior information technology (IT) auditors perform specialized auditing involving a broad range of information technology and operational functions. They also plan and manage complex audits, as well as perform project management duties such as organizing, reviewing, and reporting on the work of their team. They also provide IT and auditing support and assist the IT audit manager in the execution of the IT audit plan; this includes designing the overall IT audit plan for achieving internal audit's goals. Senior information technology auditors also perform the IT annual risk assessment, lead and perform technology-related and other operational audits. This work is generally fast-paced and occurs in an office setting.
