Job Description for Support Services Assistant

Support service assistants perform a wide variety of tasks related to serving customers. This includes setting up and indexing folders, creating and preparing all new customer files, and accepting customer requests. They also set up and/or maintain records, as well as find ways to increase efficiency. They may need to complete a substantial amount of scanning and/or copying documents and images in needed file formats. The physical work required in this position varies by field, as an employer of a support services assistant can range from an office job to an oil company to a health care facility. Because of this, the physical and mental stressors in this position vary. This is typically a full-time position, although this may vary depending on the company's needs.
