CVS / Pharmacy Reviews

What is it like working at CVS / Pharmacy?

Don't even.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT):
Pros: I'm employed and I get paid......
Cons: Everything except for the fact they sign my checks.
It's a job, not a career.
Retail Shift Supervisor:
Pros: Pay and benefits are not terrible. Somewhat flexible schedule, varies store to store.
Cons: Highly stressful, corporate micromanages, company wide programs designed to make managers fail.
Sales Clerk/Cashier:
Pros: Location. Front store coworkers are great.
Cons: Too much is expected of too few employees. Unsafe store. Outdated registers. Counters held up by 2 by 4s. Difference in treatment of FS and Pharmacy. District manager is totally unqualified for the job.
Can be stressful, and fun at times.
Retail Shift Supervisor:
Pros: I have a say in how certain merchandise gets merchandised, and build sales. Also I can direct people on how to get a task done quickly.
Cons: Not enough time to get tasks accomplished. You are basically trying to do everything in the store, with only one other person running register.
It's a learning experience.
Pharmacy Technician:
Pros: The learning process.
Cons: Attitudes from people who are at fault and favoritism.
Pharmacy Technician:
Pros: I'm good at it. I have a great bond with most of my patients as we are a neighborhood pharmacy. Work with a great team.
Cons: The company is horrible. They treat employees like garbage, making us do the workload of 4 people. We're so short staffed we can't give our customers the care and attention they should be getting at a health facility. Too much focus on scores and numbers.
Retail Shift Supervisor:
Pros: Management team is great to work with. They are very flexible for the most part.
Cons: Allotted weekly hours really needs to be based on each store and not on district. To many tasks needed to be done perfectly at once with not enough hours to do them.
