Bringing in the most money are Senior Professional Service Consultants — their earnings average $114K annually. Information Technology Consultants are a close second at about $100K along with Management Consultants ($97K) and Business Process Consultants (around $90K). Tax Consultants make an average about $53K, close to the bottom of the company pay scale.
When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck ($96K per year) can be spotted in Houston, Texas; New York, N.Y. ($92K), Washington, DC ($91K), and Chicago, Ill. (around $86K) are the next top-paying cities. San Francisco, Calif. ranks low on the pay scale — at approximately $81K, it is one of the lowest-paid cities. By state, Deloitte employees make the most in District of Columbia, earning around $91K annually on average.
Certifications and Degrees
Certified Six Sigma Green Belts have significantly higher pay than non-accredited workers at about $119K per year. Information Technology Infrastructure Library V3 Certifications also rank high on the pay scale, with expected average earnings of $112K annually. Deloitte compensates Master of Taxation (MTax)-holders the most at $140K per year.
The best-paying skill to have in this role appears to be Project Management; employees who claim this ability report median compensation of approximately $98K annually. A garden variety skill at Deloitte is Microsoft Excel; around a seventh of Deloitte's people use it regularly.
