Meijer, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Meijer, Inc.?

Great place to work!
Customer Service Team Leader in Fort Wayne:
Pros: I love the satisfaction of seeing my efforts come alive in the happiness of my team!
Cons: Individuality is not as highly respected as I would like to see it.
Retail Sales Associate in Crown Point:
Pros: The coworkers are one of the only best parts of the job.
Cons: Lack of communication, company doesn't care about employees, corporate covers for the higher up managers even if they've done something wrong, unprofessional managers, overworking the employees with jobs they aren't supposed to be doing and then the managers get upset when our work isnt done (ex. Working in general merchandise and being called upfront to cashier for most of the shift), managers have a difficult time adhering to needed availabilities for everyone despite being part-time, and lack of people due to people leaving because of a manager adds more workload to the current employees.
Crew Leader in Detroit:
Meijer does not pay anyone with associates or degrees any higher then those who have not attended any college. I feel I spent years getting a applied science degree in Marketing and retailing a applied science degree in Business Management a one year certificate through coop in merchandising and a one year certificate through coop in advertising. I feel I should be paid a lot more then I am at 25 years with the company.
Meijer Keeps Antidepressants in Buisness.
Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Middletown:
Pros: My Coworkers
Cons: The customers and the lack of support or really any sort of positivity from management
Stressful.
Retail Store Manager in Detroit:
Pros: building displays and taking care of the customers
Cons: I'm deaf and they don't have things in place for deaf workers
Stocker:
It’s pretty laid back you’re going to be doing almost exactly what the job description says stocking and that’s it. You may learn how to use a reach truck or you may move on to something else like IC or something.
Next question please.
Cashier:
Pros: Weekly pay vacation.
Cons: Electronic harassment daily. Favor. Drama out control employee /team no open door policy ..
