Telling Visitors Where to Go And What to Do There!
Activities Concierge:
Pros: For 3 years, I worked for the City of Palm Springs at their Information Booth at the weekly (52 weeks) 'VillageFest' street fair, giving visitors and residents alike information on things to do and see in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. This included recommendations to restaurants, museums, attractions for children and adults. Information about local activities, special events, golf and tennis tournaments, parades, etc. Were featured.
It was fun "telling people where to go and what to do when they got there" and having them often return thanking me for the recommendation!
Cons: The setting up of the tent and taking it back down at the end of the evening. We had no real heat in the tent in the coldest part of winter nor nothing but a fan moving the air around in the triple digit summers, but the fun of the event and the wonderful people made up for it!
