The tasks they perform vary greatly depending on who they assist; when working for individuals, tasks may be personal in nature, such as running errands and fulfilling tasks as they are assigned.

Crosslake is a city in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 2,141 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Brainerd Micropolitan Statistical Area. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 36.89 square miles (95.54 km2), of which 25.74 square miles (66.67 km2) is land and 11.15 square miles (28.88 km2) is water. Main routes include County Roads 3, 16, 36, 66, and 103. Crosslake is part of the Brainerd Lakes Area. Crosslake was incorporated in 1959.
