Waldron is a city in Scott County, Arkansas, United States. Its population was 3,618 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of Scott County. Waldron is located at 34°53′57″N 94°5′29″W (34.899191, -94.091483). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.0 square miles (13 km2), of which, 5.0 square miles (13 km2) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2) of it (1.19%) is water. Waldron is located about 38 miles south of Fort Smith, near the Poteau River. As of the census of 2000, there were 3,508 people, 1,430 households, and 899 families residing in the city.
