Assistant Store Manager Reviews

What is it like working as an Assistant Store Manager?

December 2018
Assistant Store Manager:
The store has some definite potential. I love helping people, but unfortunately due to the cut in labor hours our customers do not always receive the help they need. I feel if the store was more organized and product of one nature was together. Customers would have a more speedy, stress-free , atmosphere for their shopping experience. It would also help if we had a manager that cared about customer/employee relations. The customer is what is most important to sales , so why not give them a great experience no matter the language they speak or the color of their skin. The communication could use some work too. Team work is important. Managers job is to delegate , but helping your employees is even better. Overall I love the customers, and I'm great ful to have a job , but if I could change the management and customer experience I would.

Assistant Store Manager:
Long hours and working with a very disrespectful Manager with no people skills makes your job miserable. Benefits and pay are very good but the amount of hours you have to work does not balance out to a good pay, if you don't mind long hours then the pay is good. It does not balance out to have a personal life.

Assistant Store Manager:
Horrible. If you where a cashier or anyone to do with the front in you where basically up poo creek. Without a paddle AND a hole in the boat. If you needed help as in more than 3 people in line busy and the ONLY cashier scheduled till lunch. Then the floor supervisor had to leave their job in the cash office and running the service desk to open up a register. They'd call for cashier assistance on the front and NO ONE not even management, nor the front end manager would come. She spent her 8 hours in the store directors office eating popcorn all day. I've witnessed the store director cuss and chew out everyone of the floor supervisors on the sales floor. He's even had them in tears.
