Job Description for Certified Management Accountant

Certified management accountants (CMAs) review their organization's financial reporting system to make sure that it adheres to relevant government laws and regulations, industry standards, and corporate rules. They focus more on internal financial transactions instead of auditing. CMAs must provide accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of financial data, as well as develop and maintain financial reporting systems, procedures, and policies to ensure their organizations provides accurate information in compliance with corporate and legislative requirements. CMAs may be required to train or coach new certified management accountants as well.
