Job Description for DOT Compliance Manager

The main duty of a DOT compliance manager is to ensure that all state and federal motor vehicle regulatory requirements are met by his or her company. The major tasks are to develop and/or maintain a driver qualification program to ensure that drivers are fully trained on hazardous material transportation and are in compliance with all regulations. They must stay up to date on all state and federal rules, regulations, and legislation in order to properly interpret them and ensure the company is in full compliance at all times. They will provide oversight of the driver qualification system data and review it daily for accuracy and completeness.
