An Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assistant tends to serve different functions depending on the company they work for. Some deal solely with the recycling program of their business. In an effort to keep their business within Environmental Protection Agency guidelines and regulations, others may be involved in activities that are far more in-depth. As an assistant, they tend not to stay in their position very long since it is usually just a stepping stone in the industry.
