Indianola is a city in Warren County, Iowa, United States, 18 miles south of Des Moines, Iowa. The population was 14,782 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Warren County. Indianola was founded in 1849 as the county seat of Warren County. The town was located near the geographic center of the new county.
