Job Description for Front Desk Supervisor

Front desk supervisors are in charge of supervising day-to-day front desk activities. They ensure front desk tasks are done correctly and provide support for front desk employees. One of their main responsibilities include completing operations checklists to complete daily tasks. In all their work, front desk supervisors must follow strict company protocols and make prompt decisions in case of issues.

Other tasks completed by the front desk supervisor include participating in company meetings, assist with and attend training sessions, provide feedback to workers they supervise, and log their interactions for future employee reviews. Front desk supervisors collect client feedback and pass it to supervisors as they see fit, as well as maintain accurate customer records and respond professionally to inquiries. They create staff schedule,operate front desk equipment, and process customer requests. Front desk supervisors also act as a front desk agent as needed and serve as a liaison between managers and staff members. They usually report their progress to the front-end leader in their department.

A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required for this position. Previous experience in a customer service capacity is also necessary. Front desk supervisors must be organized, have a friendly attitude, have strong leadership abilities, and work well with other supervisors.
