Gaming surveillance officers/gaming investigators are security employees who watch over casinos and casino-hotel operations for activities such as stealing, cheating, or theft by either patrons or employees of the establishment. A high school diploma is a minimum requirement for this position, and an associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field is highly beneficial. Some employers may also prefer those who have specialized training in the setup, use, and maintenance of surveillance equipment.
