A kitchen helper/aide generally assists a cook in a restaurant or other food service establishment such as a school or an assisted living facility. In a cafeteria setting, a kitchen helper/aide may be expected to set up the dining area and kitchen to keep them tidy. Keeping the kitchen neat (including the counters, cooking area, refrigerators, and walls) is essential to ensure hygiene, and the kitchen helper/aide might also be tasked with serving food. They may also be responsible for washing dishes, taking inventory of supplies, and ordering additional supplies when needed.
