A medical/clinical laboratory supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the lab, including ensuring quality control and that proper protocols are being followed. They compile data and ensure it is collected following approved protocols. Supervising and managing technicians is a prominent part of the job. Laboratory supervisors are also responsible for scheduling staff, scheduling procedures and trials, making reports to various entities within the organization, and ordering supplies. They also ensure the facility is clean and adheres to regulatory guidelines. These supervisors may also be required to work with test subjects and patients.
