Know that healthcare is forever changing so bend what you thought you know or learned, may not always be the standard.

The reason I was put on earth.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Pros: I love caring for anyone in need. Knowing that people look to me for advise helps me through the day. I know God wanted to do this work and I try to show it though my work everyday.
Cons: Management is hard to communicate with. When there is a scope of practice question it is hard to get an answer out of management about what floor nurses should do.

Pros: Helping students learn how to have a healthy lifestyle, stress level is not over the top, management is awesome and I enjoy all the breaks I get with the school system. Opportunity for advancement and growth or a change of position if I decide I am burnt out on the job.
Cons: No benefits and is half the hours I originally wanted.

In hospital the stress level is high. Never take less than your worth. Gain experience and MOVE ON - the more you know - the longer your experience - the higher your pay. Keep moving on & up.
