December 2018
MRI Technologist:
I don't agree with their expansion vision, over the past 5 years. They have bought a lot of hospital that have struggled financial. So I don't know how this is going to turn out in the long run. One former co-worker described "Banner as the Walmart of Healthcare". I would have to agree, they are cheap in a lot of ways. The benefit package is fair, it was great 5 years ago. Year after year they would take some benefit or some job perk away. The pay was on the lower side for as much experience and certifications that I have. This is one of the main reasons I left. They are a decent stepping stone for someone starting out that wants some experience. Then you have to leave the organization to get paid what you are worth.
January 2019
Very fast paced environment.
MRI Technologist in Olathe:
Pros: Working three 12 hour shifts
Cons: Too many scheduling responsibilities for technologists
October 2015
Stepping stone.
MRI Technologist:
We work long, hard stressful hours. Requires an analytical and technical brain. Requires multitasking. Requires dealing with angry doctors and needy patients. The team you work with is critical in making the job rewarding.
If you can gracefully handle whatever comes at you consistently, people will notice.
