Build a strong network with leaders from different areas. Your boss is not always right so having a network that can provide opinions is integral to making career choices.

Allocate at least 20% of your budget to new strategies and/or experiments. Marketing, especially digital, is a rapidly changing space with new opportunities appearing all the time.
