Operations Manager Reviews
What is it like working as an Operations Manager?
September 2017
Experience Working In Hutchinson.
Operations Manager in Hutchinson:
Pros: I've lived here my entire life and I like that it's been a fairly quiet town and that my family is close by.
There is more support for the arts than in most communities in Kansas.
Cons: Most jobs are low paying.
There are more part-time jobs than full[-time jobs.
Cost of rent is high.
Most landlords and property owners do not allow pets.
Not a lot of shopping options.
The Mall is mostly empty.
The is a Dillons Marketplace but it's smaller and does not have as many options as most Dillons Marketplaces in surrounding areas.
There is a Walmart Super center but it also is smaller with less options that Super centers in surrounding areas.
New restaurants come in and open but they close within a few months. Five Guys, Pie Five, and Rita's Italian Ice all closed within a year of being open.
The parks are nice but are sketchy in the evening.
The new bowling Alley is extremely expensive.
The only thing to do is go to a bar, go see a movie or go bowling.
The roads are full of potholes. If the city does construction it lasts for months and months.

Accept Changes and Take Risks.
Operations Manager in Dubai:
At the beginning of my career, I have been flexible which made me grow professionally. However, I did not like changes and would always take calculated risks. As I grow older, I realized that without real acceptance of changes, you cannot have more opportunities. And the higher risk you take, the bigger the rewards.
