Working for Linde.
Operations Supervisor in Wooster:
Pros: I do like the work I do for this company and see so much potential for the future.
Cons: I do not like how this company promotes people. You must have a degree to move up. All the management above me are Engineers, none with management or business experience and even though I have this experience I will not be put into management because of the lack of a degree. I will be forced to support the next Engineer selected to be over me while that person gets the additional money while I do the work. This company basically provide up to a $500.00 max per year per employee for additional benefits like home exercise equipment, the $500 is a per year max but has a % of that max assigned to it. Example you purchase a $500 Eliptical you will get reimbursed up to 500 per year but only 50% for this unit, you get 250 back and you are only allowed one transaction per year. The company is providing roughly 30 million to their expendable employees, they give more than that to outside charities every year to build their public rep. The CEO annual salary is more than what is allotted for the entire company employees and that is if all employees take advantage of that little bit of money.
