Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care Reviews

Q: What is it like working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin?

Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin:
Pros: Diverse cultures
Cons: Traffic

Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care in St. Louis, Missouri:
"Overworked, stessful, underpaid, patients do not receive proper care."
Pros: Patient relations, patient satisfaction
Cons: Improper staffing; completing full care

Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care:
Understaffed, less than median pay. Pro: education. Con: understaffed, 1 tech to 12 people. I expect this at SNF, not a high acuity floor's. Floors not kept fully stocked. Benefits: are expensive, not affordable with lower income, they tax your school reimbursements so you do not receive. Full compensation.

Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care:
Raises given to new nurses “to compete” with job market, but, no raises for senior nurses who are top of a stagnant pay scale. Then as in several times in the past, a new policy is put into place that gets into your pocket to recoup anything monetarily they just seemingly gave you. Constant net 0 gain.

Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care:
Awesome environment and plenty opportunities to grow and learn. Good management support. Great benefits. Very challenging patient population and stressful...but amazing teamwork within the critical care area.
