Registered Nurse (RN) Reviews

What is it like working as a Registered Nurse (RN)?

December 2020
Our School Nurses are greatly appreciated but the pay is way below average.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Tacoma:
Pros: working with the children and staff
Cons: pay is low
December 2020
High paced environment, not much communication between management and the floor RN.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Everett:
Pros: my coworkers
Cons: patient to nurse ration on a PCU. We manage difficult cardiac drips and post open heart surgeries and they continue to assign 4 patients when it should be a 3:1 ratio.
December 2020
Underpaid and underappreciated.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Hickory:
Pros: I love my coworkers and the patients
Cons: I feel like I am extremely underpaid considering current job duties and years of experience. Raises are never offered. Neither are bonuses.
December 2020
Duke Health is not the Mayo Clinic, even though they think they are.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Raleigh:
Pros: Duke Pension Plan for RNs
Cons: Duke Health is a very unsafe place to work considering it's national reputation. But then, remember Jesica Santillan. If you do not know who she is, do yourself a favor and read the Wikipedia article on Jesica Santillan. Duke has not learned anything since the Jesica Santillan experience. In fact, no new nurses at Duke even know who Jesica Santillan is...which is really sad.
December 2020
One of the worst organizations to work for.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Augusta:
Pros: Leaving
Cons: Shady management, everyone is miserable, your just a body on the floor
December 2020
All about the $$ business, not healthcare.
Registered Nurse (RN) in La Grange:
Pros: It pays the rent
Cons: The sheer hypocrisy of white privileged Lesderdhip
December 2020
Great.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Madera:
Pros: I love the patient population.
Cons: Driving to work when is foggy. I hate to float to other areas where I have not been train to do so.
